I’m 22 (I know I’m a grown ass dude) but I have a feeling that I’d need braces due to speech impediment, like I almost talk the same way Michael Phelps does (Got narrow smile too)
But looking at the options here is costs AT LEAST $5,000 and apparently the insurance doesn’t cover these type of stuff for adults
I’m thinking about going to place like Turkey or Iran for this type of treatment as it’s much cheaper there but idk if they’ll transfer the maintenance work over to the doctors here in the states
What y’all think?
a lot of people f*** with Invisalign and you can take it off when you need to, prolly a lot cheaper than regular braces
Also I noticed most of the time when flossing or brushing to my back teeth it’s kind of pain in the ass lowkey smh

Yeah the price I put in OP are for Invisalign, can’t imagine wearing regular braces as an adult

i had invisalign, if i had the choice again i would get normal braces. it’s not as simple as just popping them in and out. you can’t put them back in w o flossing and brushing. an extreme hassle. also feel like braces get the job done better/quicker

I had Invisalign but I feel like braces actually give better results

didn't know this, I just had regular braces for 4 years but that seems like ass
Yeah get them or invisalign. Don't lose your retainer. Speaking as someone who lost his retainer.

Ur not grown ass being 22 bro don’t be so negative
I know people that were 30 when they first got their braces ..
It’s never too late to get braces and they’re gonna be gone so fast you won’t even mind getting em

I had braces done in the Czech Republic while I was studying there and it was worth it and cost like a fifth of what it would’ve cost me here in the US
absolutely get them, you will never regret it.
life altering
I didn’t realize how much the narrow smile affected your living besides the appearance. I mean speech impediment, brushing/flossing is more difficult, and could even lead to sleep apnea
I’ll prolly do it in another country tho given the costs

Yea tbh, better later than never I guess. I can imagine it’ll be life changing assuming I won’t have to deal with my speech problems anymor e

I’ll just have to look into it and consult with a doctor
look up Invisalign testimonies first before
I got braces when I was in 8th grade and took em out in 9th grade
My teeth were very small compared to my gums, I was one of those lil teeth niggas, but when I finally got em off its like they made my teeth bigger and I didn’t have a gummy smile anymore so that was great
But when u take em off u have to wear a retainer all the time for like a year, I wasn’t with it so my teeth started to shift back to how they used to be. My smile is really nice I’m ngl but from the side u can see a lot of spacing between teeth which could’ve been avoided if I had worn my retainer after getting my braces off. It’s not that big of a deal but I was a dumbass and I lowkey wasted my moms money
They’re worth it if you have good insurance and are not a d***head
Oh u don’t have insurance
Are you sure the only way your speech impediment can be worked on is thru getting braces?
