Yeah the price I put in OP are for Invisalign, can’t imagine wearing regular braces as an adult
Just get the braces if those are required
i got them last december while 21
22 rn and still have them
if you can afford them and they improve your quality of life, then yeah go for it.
I had braces from July last year until about April this year and I'm 23. Glad that I did it, had a gap in my front teeth that's finally gone Now is the best time to do it because everyone wearing masks, nobody will even notice. Only s***ty things about them is not being able to eat certain foods, food getting stuck in your teeth and flossing being a hassle
But it really depends on how bad your teeth are @op. Upload a pic, that way we can tell if you really need braces or not
Got em when I was 19, they got removed last year. It won’t bother any one and your smile will be beautiful
They’re mad expensive for you tho ngl

Apologize if my teeth looks little dirty
If only we didn't feed babies mush, and kids mush, and teens mush, and adults mush, we would have big strong jaws from all the chewing, leading to plenty of room for all out teeth, leading to them being perfectly straight, leading to our sinuses being twice as big as they are now, leading to unbelievably easy nose-breathing leading to 20% more oxygen absorbed with every breath leading to a slower breathrate leading to less stress on our entire body as a system allowing it to operate perfectly
oh well guess industrialization was worth it
Also keep in mind whenever I talk my bottom teeth drops down and BACK, which causes my top ones to touch my lips. It’s annoying smh

Problems parallels with obesity too, not only it f***s up the appearance but causes health problems too and doesn’t help that they’ll charge you arm and a leg to fix it
Like you said it’s all part of the collapse at end of the day, otherwise everyone else in my family grew up very healthy and normal. I have deviated septum too
Guess I just got unlucky
If you can afford dental work get it done. It’s a hell you don’t want to experience if you don’t take care of it. I’m in a nightmare right now that has ruined my life. one day I’ll tell the story once I get it sorted out.
I’m 22 (I know I’m a grown ass dude) but I have a feeling that I’d need braces due to speech impediment, like I almost talk the same way Michael Phelps does (Got narrow smile too)
But looking at the options here is costs AT LEAST $5,000 and apparently the insurance doesn’t cover these type of stuff for adults
I’m thinking about going to place like Turkey or Iran for this type of treatment as it’s much cheaper there but idk if they’ll transfer the maintenance work over to the doctors here in the states
What y’all think?
it's worth it for the long run for your health with the clean up. But after you get it once, you should be fine.
Don't whiten your teeth and always check in with your dentist on s*** you worry about. Sometimes dentists upsell to make money off you
i had invisalign, if i had the choice again i would get normal braces. it’s not as simple as just popping them in and out. you can’t put them back in w o flossing and brushing. an extreme hassle. also feel like braces get the job done better/quicker
@op
nah i would do invisalign again. Can't really deal with the metal in my mouth tbh
Shoutout to my mom for getting me braces when I was young
it was covered under insurance so she didn’t have to pay for anything.
My teeth were F***ED UP

bro my teeth being fixed got me breathing through my nose correctly. It is wild as f***
Yes but depends how much it affects your mental health if it does.
I have crooked teeth and have considered Invisalign (I have an impacted tooth which is slightly higher/more prominent than others) but atm just passed on it to eventually get my veneers redone.
I will get it done, just not sure when

I can't 100% breathe out of my nose because of blocked sinuses, but my narrow teeth isn't helping in this case either

Keep nose breathing man! Especially at night. Huge benefits.
