He's a good talent and does a refreshing range of films but its not really at the level of any major star we've seen before him. I get the good sentiments around him but i feel like the comparisons may set him up for failure. He still needs to carve out his own space
I haven't really seen him in anything i was super enticed by yet and those future projects don't seem like it'll change that for now
the thing is that its moreso a rare thing nowadays that you see a new star come in and actually pick projects where they can be a lead and do well on their own merits rather than just playing a superhero or doing big IP franchises every time. People like Tom Holland or Brie Larson or Michael B Jordan or Robert Pattinson or Hugh Jackman or Zendaya aren't stars and they've shown that time and time again
we havent had a true movie star since Leo and Glen Powell has potential to be the first star since him
Cruise and Sydney Sweeney co-sign?
Dude about to drop an Illmatic in the next few months you just wait

Get your argument but i dont think its fair to lump Robert Pattinson in that category of would be movie stars.
With the exception of Batman and Tenet he's largely stayed away from big projects and has done weird indie movies that most people haven't seen for the love of the game.
Mickey 17 next year is a good test to see if people are truly checking for Pattinson as a draw
He’s about to go on a run of remakes of old movies though
Running Man, Backdraft, Heaven Can Wait
He's doing a heaven can wait remake? LETS GOOOOO

Stanton joined ICM from CAA in 2017, where he repped clients including Bella Thorne, “The Walking Dead” star Norman Reedus, “Top Gun: Maverick” actor Glen Powell, and Nina Dobrev. He previously held positions at Paradigm and Jeff Berg’s shuttered talent and literary agency Resolution.
Hmmm, seems pretty normal
