I think he meets the qualifications of a "movie star" in that his persona and look are worked into the material rather than around it. That said, I think Hit Man is the only good movie of the three and that's a movie he uses to show his breadth and depth. Adria Arjona can hang with him in a way that Sydney Sweeny and Daisy Edgar Jones can't. Plus he cowrote it with the Linklater.
Using him as a teeny bopper in these broad films seems like a necessary step to something more substantive. Hopefully that's not just an Oscar play with a biopic.

Eh she's really not that good of an actress. They could've picked any other gassed up lightskinned biracial actor and the quality of the movie wouldn't have changed.
like I said, they wanted to see her f***ing two white boys. If she starred in a generic Rom com nobody would've cared lol
look at her filmography, it relies on heavily on IP and when she's not doing films based on IP she knows the only way she can sell herself as a serious actor is to work with white directors but she'll never gain the status of Halle Berry. She'll never have that level of power and draw crowds of people to see any random movie based off her stardom alone.
Again, ya'll can't even point to a situation where any of these actors had the power to get a film funded solely based off their name or were able to negotiate huge deals where they were able to take home a large chunk of a film's budget or box office sales.
