I think people would have less problem with Midsommar being a horror if it was shot at night. Which points to the arbitrary constraints most people put on the genre.

100%. I cant think of a movie that was that unique. Mf’s really gonna say it’s overrated yet call “it follows” a classic. S*** was masterful film making. That didint follow the same trends every other director in horror has been doing since the 2000s

my fav horror of the decade I've seen is probably Ash vs Evil Dead, which is more funny than scary tbf, but also scary. I also just really haven't seen a lot of recent horror, or all that much horror in general I realize
