Negative because of how society uses it to conrtol people, when it should really be for the self
religion is beautiful until money corrupts them but people tend to forget the camel in the eye of a needle quote my g.
Yeah big part of why I left the christian faith is because I couldn't reconcile the omniscience of god with people ending up in hell. Like mandem knew people would reject him and go to hell, why not just not make those people? Seems psycho to me.
Yeah I could never reconcile devotion to a deity that supposedly has to power to do any & everything, yet allow his people to suffer.
Which is why I'm an apatheist

I ate some paper and became a god

Mother Nature is god and we've forsaken her
China is an atheist state and has some of the worst human rights abuses in modern times. Humans will find a way to divide and oppress whether religion is involved or not.
I think it is a beautiful thing to have faith but the way people have been twisting it as a political tool throughout history is sickening
Then we collectively are absolute trash my g
i mean old testament didn't God have trash moments my g?

What if the real God and Devil is in the soul of every man 🤔
By society’s current understanding on what’s right and wrong, good and bad, religion is a positive thing.
My view on the matter is more nuanced than your average run of the mill neo-atheist. There is no denying that most of the world's religions has aged incredibly bad with rampant Extreme violence, Tribalism, Sexism and Homophobia. On the other hand I can't deny the fact that religion had a massive effect on shaping Mankind as we know it today.
On a societal level, religion was pretty much a substitute for laws today. They were pretty efficient in regulating primal human tendencies and enforcing a resemblance of order. It also helps that almost all religions workd through instilling the fear of an everlasting punishment. In other words there is no civilization without religion...
On a more personal level, until the advent of modern science, religion was all that is to provide a selfish yet coherent conception of the universe that tranquil our existential curiosities...
I feel like from an objective stance the human race is a failure. We do nothing but oppress when we get the chance and divide at every opportunity. In 200 years we've started the sixth great mass extinction. 500,000 babies die every year due to poor air quality but f*** the poor amirite.
If there is a god he's looking on in horror as his creation destroys itself.

i mean when you take the text as metaphorical and not literal a lot of s*** starts to make sense my g.
that's what my mom taught me
definitely a light in our world
however handled horrible by a lot, not all
but its human ego
if its not relgion its something else..
There are some good lessons from its original writings or whatever but its just turned into dogshit overall now and its f***ing nonsense when you use a ridiculous tall tale in order to justify s***ty actions which is religions main purpose now. Looking at you Judaism/Christianity/Islam.
Scientology is the only legit one it seems.
i mean old testament didn't God have trash moments my g?
I've been trying to decipher what this means but I'm gonna go ahead and say yes
