I mean this is subjective ofc. But in a lot of places with impoverished areas crime has significantly gone up

The problem is context. If someone gets the drop on you before you can pull it’s not much you can do. Trying to reach will get you killed. If you wait until they run off to shoot it’s no longer self defense even if you were robbed. It’s horrible honestly.

$3 billion isn't enough when you factor in the size of Texas and the sheer number of people living in the state. also Texas doesn't have the same problems California does (at least to that extent)

Couple days ago someone walked into my dads restaurant while he was in the kitchen and snatched his phone from behind the counter. Walked right out like nothing happened, makes me sick. City needs to do something to help these crackheads
