    AI is a masterpiece.

Jaws, ET, Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, Indiana Jones, Close Encounters, Munich, Minority Report, War of the Worlds, Jurassic Park, Catch Me If You Can.

That’s just scratching the surface. No one else is touching him for variety, longevity, and he’s as artistic as anyone else in the medium while being the most popular and profitable (maybe this is up for debate at this point idk the stats) director of all time.

His films are always pushing the medium forward, he brings out the best in actors, and he’s a master visual storyteller.

Jaws? Jurassic Park? War of the Worlds ?Minority Report? INDIANA JONES?Come on Now

These are Blockbuster movies for quick consumption

You comparing McDonald's to a 3 star Michelin Restaurant

    FMJ my fav

I mean its just WOW an incredible work so dark.
And very emotional and politically deep and sad

  • The closest in terms of Range and Meaning to Kubrick is
    Tarkovsky

He got Solaris Sci Fi Stalker Sci Fi Ivan War , Mirror Biographical, Sacrifice Existentialist drama movie , Rublev Historical

Its funny they were both active in the same period on both ends of the Cold War

    Tarkovsky / Kubrick
    Two Gods of Cinema

You’re separating blockbusters from dramatic films, objectively there’s no difference a great film is a great film.

There’s just as much artistry in Jurassic Park as there is in The Shining. The craft of both films is exceptional and they both achieve what they set out to do, they both pushed their genres forward.
