Because they are hypebeasts and hipsters?
If you like a supreme piece, just get it, why would you care what random people you'll never meet think about it
There’s a fanmade doc on YT that talks about James Jebbia and how Supreme always has stuck to their core values and it’s true. It’s mainly the people that wear Supreme that change the perception of the brand and not the people and mission of it at all. It’s only corny cause you allow yourself to care about who’s wearing Supreme instead of just liking their pieces tbh
Can you link the doc sounds like a good watch
Supreme has always had fire pieces every season I've paid attention too everyone just looks at kids wearing bogos and other gaudy collabs/acessories and thinks its ass
it was already dying years ago, s*** like this was icing on the cake
I never knew it was so bad
As the other ppl itt the obsession over the logo is long gone but they’re still capable of dropping a fire piece, I won’t write off supreme completely
if you think supreme is corny i’m skeptical of you, i understand because of some people who wear it, but otherwise i don’t
Imo it’s still wearable if done correctly. Like, if I see a kid that only wears hypebeast stuff then it’s corny. But if the person he good style and wears a box logo one day, that’s perfectly fine
i stopped f***ing with supreme in i think it was 2018 when the Carlyle group bought them out, if you havent research Carlyle group you should lol, the final straw was when Supreme started sending out poppy seed plants with all of their purchases, poppy seed plants is opium, one of the most addictive d**** of all time, pretty much supreme was saying hahaha f*** you youre addicted to being a slave and youll still buy it no matter if we spit in your face because youre an addict
i think the brick catapulted em further into the mainstream, so much so that it's now kinda memey to wear their s***. like i can still see people wearing that in some ironic sense since people have this strange desire to dress ironically
but all their other s*** ain't perceived as hard as it once was imo
logo mania killed supreme, the brand still has nice pieces but the cornballs tend to gravitate to the loud and in your face pieces to compensate for horrible tastes and outfits
also supreme bites like piranhas
whole fashion industry is basically just biting lets be real

but it sounds like its just the perception and not the clothing itself that has changed

yea i agree
one could say supreme leaned into the meme s*** w/ the brick, the "burner phone", etc, but part of their model is just slapping that logo on various s*** in various ways lol. ppl have just decided that instead of cool and interesting, it's now lame. just a curse of some counter-culture thing becoming a more-mainstream culture thing

That and the fact there are many other brands with either better designs or on par with them and if you seem to only be interested in supreme it’s like you’re mentally restricting yourself or something
