Divorce rates only rising, you lose half your assets and your kids (men). Hard to date again as a 40 year old who’s lost half his wealth lol prolly balding too.
The divorce rates 92% in Portugal
And 86% in Spain
I do believe in love but love always turns into business in this world.
So all in all, what’s the point? This ain’t even mentioning the cost of the engagement ring and wedding
It comes down to you as a person and how much you are willing to sacrifice and build your life with the person you found, and how much they would do the same for you.
I did it to show to her and to the whole world that I am unquestionably committed to her. That I am ride or die for the rest of our lives. I did it because I couldn't imagine doing anything else. It was 6 years last week btw.
Just use a prenup, it’s depressingly cynical, but if the girl is smart she’ll understand and probably want to use one on you too
Yeah it’s fun to have a partner through life doing cool s*** and creating memories
I’m also 40, not balding, and my wife makes around the same amount of money as me give or take
Another weak bait thread by a troll account
Nope.
Idk but if you're telling KTT2 that you're cheating on your girl there's no point, you don't deserve half of that woman's money
nah
Depends.
If you find the right partner, it's actually better to be married than single.
You get to combine incomes, get certain tax credits, raise kids in a stable household, not waste money/time chasing women, and studies have shown that married men are more likely to get promotions on their jobs than single men.
That said, that's only true if you find the right partner. If you have the wrong partner, it's much better to be single.
Maybe the issue is most people marrying before theyre even 25 years olds and people marrying the very first person they get in a serious relationship with - not marriage within itself
I don’t have an actual problem with marriage
It’s just the fact that the divorce rates are getting dumb high and the fallout is massive. Religion and even gender roles in relationships are going down the drain so it just raises the question if there’s any point of the whole contractual marriage

Marriages that happen in the 30s and 40s have such a more likely chance of succeeding & being happier and content
Marriages after the first one are usually better than the first as well - mostly due to the first marriage being done when way younger & more desperate
But also you dont need a piece of paper to stay together forever - you can be married in thought without the actual legal stipulation
The concept without the action
If you want to. There are financial benefits that come with marriage if you need that as an added boost.
