For women, they have all the leverage in the world because on average they lock down a richer partner and since the courts favor women on custody and alimony, marriage is great for women because they leave richer than when they started the marriage. That’s why women always want to get married and dream about it because it’s financially a great decision on average.

For men, it’s a nightmare unless you sign a pre nup or marry a woman who’s richer (and even then courts won’t side with you on kids). So men need to protect themselves before marriage if they’re gonna do it

Wedding are fun, I’ve been to plenty and agree with you.

I’m simply speaking from what the people getting married told me and how everything had to go according to plan. They would have much rather not have to deal with the headaches before and after so that their families were happy.
