Yes and I bet the stats prove it

If you could find the stats to back it up I will happily agree with you. I have no agenda against Drake I honestly just think that Travis is hotter right now.

drake is the lebron of rap, people keep looking for his replacement but he's still on top at the end of the day

I think Drake is still bigger

I think because Travis appeals to a younger audience he can do the collabs that he does and make them go big in terms of music Drake is by a large margin the biggest rap artist imo.

It's likely still Drake. Y'all can call Drake a pop star and all that but the fact remains he's billed as a rapper/rap artist.

Travis is likely on his way to being the biggest rap artist in the world currently based on his ad deals. Dude is on a cereal box, has a shoe/brand deal with Nike and Jordan, Fortnite concert that led to a toy deal with Nerf and MacFarlane Toys, and of course the McDonald's deal. On top of that, don't quote me on this however, I also think he's a global ambassador for the Houston Rockets.

Drake is the biggest rap act in the world currently, but Travis Scott is very quickly going to usurp that title based on Travis's business ventures. The dude is very much becoming a household name and it's off more than just music.

It's very stupid billing someone the biggest rapper based on business/brand deals. If that was the case, 50 Cent was the biggest rapper in the world sometime in the 2010's when he had more brand deals than any other rapper, same for Jay Z.

Thats why I say he's the bigger artist - at the moment. Travis is slowly overtaking Drake and it's because he found his market. I feel as if Drake fans are a mixed bunch. Travis has been the slight edge in this moment of time but honestly that title is gonna flip flop again and again.

You cannot become the biggest rapper in the world if your music is not the most successful. Brand deals don't make you the biggest rapper.

Drake's songs are still bigger and still have more longevity on the charts than Travis'. Same goes for albums.

Drake uses every bundle loophole to make himself appear bigger than he is but the gap between him and Drake is still vast and Drake has never used bundles.

Btw we don’t speak about numbers

It's very stupid to not think that because of Travis's business ventures that keep him and his music known globally as much of those ventures deal with branding and marketing won't lead to him being billed as one of the biggest rappers.

Sidebar, 50 Cent at one point was billed as one of the biggest rappers in the world and much of it that had to with him being so known because of his brand deals.

People know brands. When a rapper becomes a brand...guess what follows?

Boy Drake's average Spotify listens per Day is 22-23 million. Thats literally higher than EVERYBODY else except Juice wrld.

Travis scott aint even in the TOP 10.

And thats ontop of Drake's sales and top10 hits this year. DLDT is damn near platinum. Travis damn sure aint got the juice to go platinum off a throwaway tape in a few months.

You're the biggest rapper in the world when your music is the most successful in the world, NOT when you have the most brand deals. I'm sure someone as huge as Drake has had several opportunities to work with countless brands, but he's more selective of who he does business with.

Travis isn't as established so it's understandable that he's saying yes to everything, especially now during COVID-19 when there's no money to be made from touring and all these brands are coming to him with a bag, but NONE OF THAT makes him the biggest rapper in the world. He isn't even the most popular, neither is his music the most successful, so how does that work?

We don't even have to go that far. Travis' music isn't even as successful as Post Malone's music, talk less of Drake and still, his biggest hit to date has Drake on it rapping for more time than Travis himself. Niggas just love saying s***.

  • Sep 26, 2020

People in Botswana, Indonesia, Croatia, Ecuador, and Uzbekistan know who Drake is while Travis's music is generally bigger than him even here in the U.S.

So, it depends on what you mean. Musically, Travis has been
as hot or hotter for the past several years but Drake is the bigger superstar and household name by far.

It's really just in due time

We say these moves that Travis has been making are corny and they are, however they're keeping his name known and out there. He's pretty much doing all this to prime himself to explode in 2021.
Drake doesn't have to do all that because he is currently the biggest act. People know who he is, anything he drops is successful even if it's mid, and lord knows its been mid for awhile. He's established.

Travis is saying yes to all this s*** to establish himself. You're focusing on him just having brands, but failing to acknowledge what all this branding is going to lead to him to being able to accomplish many things musically numbers wise. He's not the biggest act now, but you'd be naive to think that time isn't coming very soon. S*** I don't know how you can even believe he isn't going to be because Travis is pretty much following Drake's blueprint. Once Drake decides to "hang it up" Travis is literally right there to pick up the biggest rap artist title.
