I have no doubt Travis is only going so hard with these business partnerships anyways because Kylie became a billionaire off her business and these rappers are the type to be hella insecure about their baby momma achieving more + Kardashians love to milk everything associated to them

They are def impressive but in the essence of being the most successful ARTIST it doesn’t have any correlation.

Drake’s celebrity and career is also notably bigger than Trav’s. If he wanted to do partnerships with big companies he could, it’s not like he wouldn’t be able to, he just doesn’t choose to. Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, BTS, etc could also do a McDonalds partnership but they don’t choose to for the sake of just being commercialized to the fullest extent

Travis ain’t getting those partnerships because he is THE biggest artist, he’s getting them because he’s making that his brand purposely.

And probably because a lot of other huge names passed up on the opportunity, lol. Brands always try their hand at scoring whoever they consider the biggest fishes before settling for who eventually says yes.

I remember Lorde and Tyler, the Creator speaking on the soundtrack albums they both curated (Lorde with the Hunger Games soundtrack in 2014 and Tyler, the Creator with the Grinch soundtrack in 2018) and I recall the both of the saying how much bigger names were approached to curate the soundtrack albums and how they only got to do it because all those names said no. Same thing happened the year Maroon 5 and Travis performed at the Superbowl. They weren't the first or even second options but they were the ones who eventually accepted the gig after bigger names turned it down, lol.

If anything all the brand deals Travis is working with now show that his name/brand aren't nearly as established as that of other bigger acts yet.

Stuff like this is what newer/less established acts do. Megan Thee Stallion is doing the same thing. Partnering with any brand that will throw her a bag (not that it's a bad idea because she definitely needs the money, especially in the times we're in right now).

Established acts are more particular about the brands they partner with BECAUSE they have an established brand already so it's just interesting to me that people are trying to use brand partnerships of all things to conclude that Travis is the biggest rapper.

Post Malone could easily be doing the same thing (he's more successful than Travis and he's white {lol}, but he isn't, probably because he wants to build up his brand differently as opposed to saying yes to every opportunity right now).

I might not have elaborated this well enough. I feel that Drake has transcended the genre, becoming more of a pop act despite still being a great mc. Travis on the other hand doesn't make anything but rap and has a bigger cult following.

When are yall gonna realize that hiphop is pop now.. its such a tiring idea that someone can "transcend" hiphop.. when u got ariana on f***ing trap beats.

All you gotta do is look at the tour numbers to see the answer and see that it ain't close

It's likely still Drake. Y'all can call Drake a pop star and all that but the fact remains he's billed as a rapper/rap artist.

Travis is likely on his way to being the biggest rap artist in the world currently based on his ad deals. Dude is on a cereal box, has a shoe/brand deal with Nike and Jordan, Fortnite concert that led to a toy deal with Nerf and MacFarlane Toys, and of course the McDonald's deal. On top of that, don't quote me on this however, I also think he's a global ambassador for the Houston Rockets.

Drake is the biggest rap act in the world currently, but Travis Scott is very quickly going to usurp that title based on Travis's business ventures. The dude is very much becoming a household name and it's off more than just music.

Travis is not becoming a household name when 17 year olds that wear supreme are his fan base.. the youth is checking for him.. but mans being a corporate w**** isn't getting him anywhere near that.. he played at the superbowl and most of my family dont know who he is..

Trav is the collab king rn because he's got the fanbase corporations want to target. Young with disposible income and no real financial responsibilities.

Drake's fans by and large are buying houses and cars and trying to finish paying off their student loans at this point

Is the Super Bowl even that good of a measure for popularity? Lady Gaga performed at the Super Bowl and it's alot of people who had no idea who she was. S*** I remember seeing more people who mad about the "gay agenda".

And Travis must be getting more known these days because I been having white parents coming up to me lately saying "You kinda look like that Cactus Jack guy from Fortnite my kids love!". I don't know why y'all are denying what is very clearly happening in our faces. Y'all sounding like me when Take Care dropped and I said Drake was not going to be a super star...like it's gonna happen whether we notice it or like it

Boy Drake's average Spotify listens per Day is 22-23 million. Thats literally higher than EVERYBODY else except Juice wrld.

Travis scott aint even in the TOP 10.

And thats ontop of Drake's sales and top10 hits this year. DLDT is damn near platinum. Travis damn sure aint got the juice to go platinum off a throwaway tape in a few months.

Finally someone with the stats, I’ll happily stand corrected. CLB so so soon. Travis do got the juice like that tho.

You live in the suburbs huh..

Clearly if I'm saying I've had white people confusing me for Travis Scott.

Don't even know where you attempting to go with that. That's just further highlighting his reach. White people in the suburbs love Drake too.
