I agree that Araki massively dropped the ball on everything after his fight with Johnny though, anyone who was in the original thread and saw my thoughts after I finished reading could attest to that. The only ending worse is part 5

He ain't really move me in anyway, I read some peoples thought on Part 7 and they seemed to like him because they felt he was relatable and I'm not a patriotic nigga so i could two f\*\*\*s about his little backstory about his daddy I also thought he was fat until he took the coat off

When I think about it I don't feel strongly about any Jojo's villians too much tbh. I more so f*** with certain moments the villians might've had or their outcomes more some than them as overall characters

I feel what Night is saying, before I read SBR I saw very interesting opinions on Valentine but he still falls short of Kira to me. He ain’t bad but I don’t have a strong opinion on him.

Im with you as far as him being gassed and overblown in his complexity. That Pulp Fiction reference is the only thing that moves his backstory for me. however, you also brought up a good point: if that Saving Private Ryan/1912 wave does nothing for you, then his character cant.

I f\*\*\*ed with Pucci because of what that man accomplished and how dedicated he was s\*\*\* was crazy. Diavolo was cool, but in like that's cool how you got f\*\*\*ed up kinda way lmao. And SBR Dio was cool also funny, breath of fresh air on the character imo, enjoyed him a lot more than Valentine

so what type of shonen villains do you really fw? give me some examples. I dont want to speak for u, but I feel like for some, this connected anthology format doesnt allow them to get as emotionally connected to some characters like say: Naruto or OP

Generally speaking a lot of those guys could be considered more grey area than on some pure villainy s***

I love boastful villains with a lil bit of flair, so that might be why I adore dio and rock with kira and pucci (way less than kira)

the stands/powers araki gives villains are usually so epic its sometimes hard to separate them from the villain
