when they showed the horse on the film studio set i thought it was going to be a adult film because the lady was in a robe. i was like “ i know films are more edgey but i don’t think he can do this. horse trainers - i don’t think would be cool with this 😳”

and also the cameraman- cinematographer sounded really like he was about that life

Really liked this movie Peele is still leveling up on a technical level and I love how hard they went on such strange far out ideas. Characters/acting were really great too

watched 2/3 on my laptop then paused it and went to watch it in IMAX with the fam

would love to see how this movie evolved over time, pretty sure an early rumor was the lead being a walmart electronics employee

I think just the connection to both

1. exploiting/using an animal for entertainment.

Which Jupe then grew up to do again.

OJ also didn’t like that and with his history with horses, knew that you have to enter an agreement to tame the animal and offer it respect. Which he did at the end as he was looking at the alien, but to tame it and enter that taming agreement instead of gawking at it

2. The fact that the tragedy of the monkey attack became a spectacle for the public to be obsessed with. SNL and Mad Magazine making sketches, people paying to stay in the prop room etc

I thought the inclusion of MAD and the SNL retelling were just homage to Peele’s sketch days but it connects to the movie’s themes
