It’s like David Cronenberg for another example. Don’t hear people saying he makes the same s***, because he likes horror.

This is Peele’s 3rd film. He likes making horror films in his style. Us and Get Out are so different. Yet people are saying he needs to branch out and do something different

Like you mentioned, Ari Aster has made 2 horror movies, yet nobody is on his ass for that.

Hereditary is a horror movie Midsommar is not a horror movie. Midsommar as said by him before it came out is an Adult Fairy Tale its not meant to be a horror movie

i didnt find Midsommar scary at all but Hereditary hit the horror movie notes

hopefully he tries to blend genres less cuz Us had way too much comedy the advertisements made it seem like it would be scary

Doesn’t matter, that film still goes under the horror umbrella.

Just like Get Out and Us, they’re not scary movies, ie demons, ghost or some supernatural s***.

you can throw it under the horror umbrella but thats the same thing as throwing Rodeo under Trap since it features trap elements

Midsommar is not intended to scare the audience like a horror movie hence why the film takes place mostly in daylight

I love Hereditary but im lukewarm on Midsommar i dont find it fair to consider them the same kind of movie and consider them both "Ari Aster horror movies"

Yea to me peele should be able to do horror as much as he wants cus it’s a new genre for him. We gotten years of comedy. It’s not like he pulling a Seth Rogan. He’s shown versatility.

I don’t think Get out or Us is the same either.
