You really don’t get what it was about?

There were a few questions I had after first watch, but the overarching theme / narrative was pretty simple to grasp

Yeah I pay to go sit in a theater and text for a movie I was excited to see. You wanna discus the movie or try to gain some baseless highground?

I have theories, but I’ve talked to people who have other theories. I feel like there’s nothing outright or succinct.

What was it about to you?

It did have a much happier ending than I expected but all of Peele's movies do in a way.

But I've been big into UFO's since the govt started declassifying s*** and man I was entranced till the end

It's a beautifully shot film. No doubt about that. Interesting concept. Absolute terrible characters. Bad chemistry. Bad motivations. Terrible 3rd act musical score.

Also this movie is about Jordan hitting limitations with his own directiral style and searching in vain for a perfect shot that doesn't exist. Literally a constant theme in the movie is filming mixed with spectacle

The main theme is people chasing spectacle for profit. Every character in the movie besides OJ is chasing spectacle in some way.

The most prevalent secondary theme was the dangers of trying to domesticate and create a spectacle out of wild animals

Shot beautifully. Some scenes are phenomenal.

But a wonky theme, bad third act, terrible character motivations, and pacing issues hinder tf out of it

Idk why this movie bothered me. It's something i would definitely see again even with a myriad of flaws.

I’ll take that. Picked up those. But didn’t it feel somewhat… loose? Idk how to explain it.

I think the pace of the movie just threw me off. Major issues there. The story just didn’t really move and the third act was pretty disappointing.

I also think I just really wanted a good alien/UFO movie. I don’t even know what they were fighting with any sort of certainty.

The movie isn’t that deep it’s a well made monster film with some metaphors and symbolism thrown in

They’re fighting an animal that’s alien in nature. Not even really fighting it, moreso just trying to capture proof of it without being eaten.
