it actually adds another positive layer to this film and it makes perfect sense

Better than Get Out and Us for sure I wasn’t a big fan of either of those

the recording was what she played on the tv?
i picked up on the dynamic between them but didn't connect point a (the extra great) and point b (the scene of her playing it back together).

but its kinda interesting she has all these other side hustles we dont get to see and the one thing she didn't get to fulfill is something she performs well, pretty much saving everyone (well her and her bro)

as soon as he was trying to get her attention i knew it was gonna go south. she was not paying attention at all. honestly was funny because he was waiting on her considering it seems like she was made for the role he was in (as far as performing the role with enthusiasm and pride) but he was doing it (and everything else in the movie) out of pride and principle? (she was too tho)

this was enjoyable visually and narrative alone, regardless of a***yzing it to hell and back

Very solid. Enjoyed the cinematography a lot and thought the narrative was stronger and more complete than what we received with Us. Good filmmaking in general.

The dialogue was probably the weak link of the movie. Just felt kinda there, like they were saying things because someone had to. Not enough Yeun either, I really liked his story.

There are some nice themes going on but I think the theories are reaching too hard

This might be a reach but there seems to be a connection between 2001 and this

And the shoe standing up representing the monolith or supernatural energy

what do you think is reaching to hard? i was gonna leave a long comment about the stuff i was thinking about while watching, haven't read anything and still dont know wtf going on with the shoe.

I just thought that the plot was meant to be straight forward.
