Watched it with the fam so wasn’t too invested in it. But at face value this s*** garbage 😭. Granted should never go into a jordan peele movie like that but at least with Get Out, Us, and Candyman you could turn ya brain off and enjoy them. Had some funny bits in it. But from what I caught subliminally tho, it’s okay.

The monkey and the dude dynamic i somewhat get and the s*** being a vagina i somewhat get. Everything else lost in between.

Also what's the deal with the shoe being upright? The fact that it opened with a monkey going crazy and the shoe upright next to him felt like a clear nod to 2001 and the obelisk but I don't see anything beyond that

Yeah man this wasn’t that good to me, great acting, great shots and s*** but I thought it was boring and when it did start to pick up it started to lose me. With all the symbolism and stuff I’m seeing people talk about make me feel like I’m missing something

Jupe worshipped the bag over acknowledging how traumatic his experience was, this kind of theme almost can fit a wide brush of different celebrities who have maybe been taken advantage of but only care about the bag.
