He definitely is a MAJOR contributor
I don’t think Jay’s career ever needing “saving” though lol
Jay Z run would've ended in 2006 without Kanye
American Gangster came out in 2007. Jay was already on a legacy run by 2006

American Gangster did nothing for Jay-z’s mainstream success
A lot of Kanye stans don't listen to much hip-hop outside of his discography, so they develop a warped view of the history of rap that centres solely around Kanye. Not saying it's true of the guy in OP specifically, but that's where this narrative originated from
Isn’t it Kanye whose career was saved by Jay?
The blueprint team comprised of other producers Kanye wasn’t huge at the time that s*** prolly was one of the most important placements of his career. WTT didn’t do THAT much for jay’s career he alr had empire state of mind by then if prolly benefited both equally as much maybe Kanye more. Like Jay was massive and he did the hook on the biggest song in the album.

Who outdid who on a song has never made a dif in a huge rappers career lol renegade was a big song it doesn’t matter whether Hov got out rapper there or not for his career

He had retired and returned. He was already seen as a legend by that time
