Like I feel like WTT was a definite stimulus boost into hovs career at that point his last album was looked to be a disappointment. Even though I enjoyed BP3 niggas thought he fell off then and when kingdom come dropped (AG was a diddy assisted temporary breath of fresh air) but after this we got MCGH and artsy fartsy hov no socks hov imma grow my hair hov

Not debatable imo. Jay was already out of the limelight by the mid 00's. Wayne and Ye lapped him in just a few years. He used Kanye's rise to maintain relevancy for years until about the Magna Carta album. Then the public just got tired of him for good. I'd say Ye elongated Jay's "prime" or relevance for another 5 years or so--at least

He wouldn’t be known without No ID, Hov is NOT different to any of the mfs who half way didn’t want to sign him when he was a known commodity shopping his music for a deal

Is this entire thread under 25?

Kanye produced some of Jay Z's biggest songs early on, but he basically carried him the post blueprint era musically. WTT was more important for Hov than it was for Ye who was already a global superstar musically, had universally acclaimed solo albums, more commercially successful albums and singles and at that point was thought to have one of the greatest discographies ever, not even just hip hop.

Wouldn't say he saved his career, but he definitely extended Jay well beyond his shelf life.

This is it. Kanye was on such an insane run from 07-13, Jay couldn't help but latch on.

Who came up for the concept of DOA, quickly?!

And that wasn't even a year prior, it was 2 years prior. I love how you left our Run This Town, the biggest song off BP3 that actually won accolades. I wonder why you conveniently did that

empire state of mind is also significantly bigger than run htis town

Saved is exaggerated but that mid 2000s-2013 era of Jay-Zs career, he played a big part in keeping him in the top 5 spot

With the help of.... it's not hard to admit Ye played a huge role in BP3. There is a reason NIP is Jay's first Diamond song.
