We should care because he's a huge public figure with a big platform that can influence the beliefs of impressionable kids. Alot of these kids live vicariously through these celebrities so they need to be checked when they're wrong. And also holding people accountable shouldn't be only for celebrities,it should be for everyone doing or saying something questionable or morally wrong

OUT NOW for any young impressionable teen girl to see

Cause normal humans now feel like their the judge/have the final say so thus making “cancel culture”automatically flawed cause every human is imperfect. Yes,there’s very obvious people that need to be called out like undercover racist or pedo’s but even then, you still have people who are very selective, they cancel who they wanna cancel.

Cardi B should’ve technically been cancelled for admitting to stealing from men whom she slept with but no,that’s just Cardi B. Can’t be selective and be the judge of righteousness at the same time.

.....Yeeaah anyway cancel all racists, rapists, and pedophiles

This whole “dont judge others” s*** is so dumb, its good to generally try and not be judgemental but are we supposed to just keep quiet if someone is a massive racist or serial s***assaulter??

  • SonOfNkrumah

    Why would God "cancel" her?

Also holding people accountable for their crimes has nothing to do with trying to be God lol does she expect people to just watch as rapists/abusers etc go about their lives Kelly lame asl for this

cancel culture might be bringing light to a bunch of undercover stuff, but it's also a weapon that has been misused by toxic people who want to see people suffer

there's two sides to it really

Of course, when something is wrong it’s wrong but with anything in human nature, people pick and choose their battles too much.

Never understood this argument, you need to be a better parent if your kids are looking to Kanye West, Nicki Minaj etc to teach them their world views instead of you Even if these kids believe everything Kanye says, they'll be exposed to more knowledge as they grow older and can make informed decisions for themselves. Maybe they'll continue believing everything he says, maybe they'll get new info and stop believing what he says but that's their right, to be exposed to different views/beliefs and make decisions for themselves on what to believe. Hiding behind "These celebrities need to stop saying things we don't agree with, there's kids listening!" makes no f***ing sense to me.

Do you agree with parents who want to censor GTA because video games lead to kids perpetrating violent crimes? Parents who want to censor lyrics and music videos? That's what cancel culture wants to do, with viewpoints they don't personally agree with

I also agree with this point but when it comes to celebrities/musicians and messages,it’s just a double edged sword.

You make a good argument. Ultimately, my point is yes kanye should be allowed to say whatever he wants but at the same time people should also be allowed to scrutinize what he's saying especially if he's making outlandish comments or unclear statements. There should definently be a two way conversation taking place regarding public figures, that's all

Yeah there should definitely be some kind of dialogue, an attempt to help make the celebrity see how what they did/said could be harmful with so many people watching and listening. But silencing them, getting other people to stop supporting them and ultimately taking their platform away from them is what Cancel Culture aims to do and I don't agree with that

It's contextual too though. I do believe people should go through a reform process and be given the opportunity to atone for their past actions but should someone who's discovered to be a rapist be given the same chance? Idk...but that's the aspect of this whole thing that cancel culture just omits. Everybody just rushes to vilify the person instead of offering ways the person can transform or be forgiven. And even when they forgive and change niggas are still like "nope, not enough " like what do you want them to do at that point

Sounds like it was just an awkward date, and he didn’t ask her what kind of wine she liked before pouring her a glass

Could be wrong though but that’s what I got from it

This is defo true but do the ends justify the means?? Its obv corny af when someone fights to “cancel” an artist they dont like, but defends someone they stan for the exact same thing. But if the person theyre cancelling has legit done something awful then its surely still worth the fight.

Yes,any battle for good is a good battle but is everyone’s heart in the right place to make sure all injustice is fixed or is it for personal gain? That’s the problem with our justice system let alone cancel culture but at least judges are public figures with real names and are meant to be held accountable. Some people are losing careers over strangers on their phone or computer that they don’t even know whether their who they say they are or not

It’s two sides to the tale as with anything
