No it is true I remember. That album used to get relentlessly s*** on here until MM&TBS dropped. It’s revisionist narrative to say that the album was loved day 1 when it wasn’t. It got more appreciated overtime. NOW they say it’s a good album overall.

People always tell artists who are consistent/active with releasing music to "take a break" so they can be inspired but there's no direct correlation with taking a break and returning with something great. In fact, most musicians with a legendary run of albums did so during a period of time when they didn't necessarily take time off.
Yet your mans has continued to drop terrible projects back to back to back so maybe just maybe taking time to come up with something better is key. Both of the albums OP listed are great albums and better than their last so idk what’s going on with this forum’s dumbass takes
