This thread makes me wanna check it out again. I honestly haven’t listened in full since it came out tbh I respected the concept and stuff but I had no desire to come back to it after all of the other great albums that came out after.

The lack of spitters jn this game rly made this album shine at the time. Second half is dope

Yeah give it another spin, he released it at a bad time because of the climate rap was in at the time. Nobody wanted to hear what he was saying, but now after a few years it really has aged like wine

Lol tbh I went thru the tape last night & that wasn’t the best song.....& also it’s not his best tape 😅😅😅

And then on top of that I’m sure his flow/voice is hard for people to get into but he’s raw to people who like Michigan rap

my least favorite cole project

Saying this as a Cole stan, but he really doesn't have the ability to tackle a topic like d*** addiction sufficiently. Should've hit Kendrick up when he saw DAMN live and got inspired, this would've been an amazing concept for their collaboration album
