It obviously didn't matter to most people then because they were living off of trash music and d**** (hence the name Kids on D****) and they didn't want to hear about s*** that was "uncool" but listening to it today has been refreshing, Cole honestly stated nothing but truth on that album and it's held up super well. Now that everyone is a bit older, look back and see if these lyrics did not hit hard for that time.
He touched upon d*** abuse, addiction, depression, and greed in this album and it has held up amazingly.
