For as long as they use KRIT praise to s*** on Cole but then don’t support KRIT like how Cole fans supported Cole to stardom.

That's not really what happens. Krit had tons of support from his fans. I used to go to his shows back then and they were always packed out. It's just that Cole was more relatable on a mainstream level than a country nigga from the south with a strong accent. Krit said it himself many times

All three of those artists came up in different time periods. And they all make different music and in different lanes than krit. The blog era was mostly competition between everyone Kendrick named in control

They came up in different times? Even more proof it's possible to break through if you have the juice.

KRIT never had it like that. I don't mind him, but he always felt like a legacy act more than his own thing. Not exactly the most unique personality. Filling a niche for a time.

I feel like this doesn't apply to krit, cause there were southern rappers that was able to appeal on a mainstream level before and after krit

Both weren't a part of the "big 3 era"

Big KRIT (and Wale too) is singlehandedly the reason why that s*** was so damaging to hip hop as a whole.

Anyone that wasn't any of them 3 niggas weren't given the same love.

KRIT was super country, wore big Levis 501s and tall tees when that s*** was going outta style and had no s***appeal whatsoever. Those were his main obstacles imo(and those are some pretty big obstacles)

It was like, even though Country S*** remix was a hit,it wasn't really the right way to market him for the long haul. Should've focused way more on him being an underdog out the deep south then anything else. Music was great but i don't think people were really fascinated with him when you had cutting edge dudes Rocky & Co coming out at the sane time.

Not at that time tho. The s*** was dying out. And definitely not being as lyrical as krit was. Wayne was the only one and even he had to go over there with dipset for a lil bit because of how dominant NY was

Nobody was "given" their love. Drake was rejected by dustheads, people to this day call Cole boring, and Kendrick was alien voice man.

The hate comes with the love and KRIT never inspired much more than a pat on the back

Its kinda f***ed up how that Andre 3000 didn't give him a co-sign knowing Outkast was one of his bigger influences.

I mean I def think he should’ve gave Krit a verse but unless it’s hard what would a 3 stacks co sign really do? Respectfully

I guess a decade ago it would’ve been different. But idk who has he ever co signed?

drake cosign would have been big too. seems like the only from that class that didn’t have that drake look

Krit is Indie now it could still happen

Trash comparison, Krit was in an entire different lane than those three. In an era where most rappers in that lane didn’t break out to be as successful as the Coles, Kendrick’s etc.

I don’t listen to YB but those are mainstream “gangsta” rappers

Awful comparison, and yeah TI and Wayne are from the south but NO and ATL are a completely different world from Mississippi lmao, even though they’re all the south

TI was making pop music at his height.

Im just saying,he's said Outkast was one of his biggest influences growing up musically. That co-sign from 3-stacks could've helped cause it could've possibly created a partnership between the two.

I wish I could find the thread, but on KTT1 there was topic about a “big three” before that term was so associated with drake, cole and Kendrick. Almost everyone agreed with drake and Kendrick, but it felt like cole got the number 3 spot by indifference. I think the “big 3” talk ended up helping legitimize cole a lot, but it’s kind of crazy to think how arbitrary it is.

People don’t so it’s kinda pointless to have this convo. If krit was more popular he would be hated more too. I have my issues with Cole but he’s way more accessible than krit overall even though he’s corny at times
