His themes around sports and college for a lot of people imo
If that's what makes Cole relatable, Wale would be bigger. I feel like people just passed KRIT by. He has so much relatable music. Songs like "Rise & Shine" (The grind, chasing your dreams), the "My Sub" series (People love bangers and car culture is huge), "Yesterday" (Reminiscing/Nostalgia), "Red Eye" (Relationship problems), "Money on the Floor" (Strip clubs), "Big Bank" (Money), "Price of Fame" (being famous and being used for your name). He has so much relatable music but I guess people just want to relate from a surface level.

Wale does a lot of sports references. I mean Cole's topics around actually playing and trying to make the team etc. And yea I agree with you, for me he definitely hit home with so many songs and is in my top 10 favs
What do you think makes Cole so much more relatable than KRIT?
first of all the accent, krit is definitely from the south and cole could be kind of from anywhere and is easy to understand for almost everyone. krit’s sound is also very regional like the beats are very southern but cole’s are just good beats in general. also the subject matter for cole is kind of more things the everyman can relate to or like the average 16-25 year old like sports or women or whatever. krit talks about real stuff but most people can’t relate to boppers in his slab. not knocking krit he’s just super southern
Both goats
Don’t know why you gotta shade Cole. You can uplift KRIT without bringing him down.
These fanbases always come across as bitter when they do that

yeah I think it's definitely because he's from Mississippi. He would thrive in the 90s. Still has a crazy catalog.

Anybody could relate to the "The Vent". If Cole made it, people would go crazy.
