in before some one is ljke “but they’re both 20 irl” no s***! that’s not what i’m talking about tho. don’t have an issue with them acting or pretending to be younger in a movie that’s literally a part of acting lol.
my favorite movie from the last ljke 4 years is red rocket you think i give a s*** about age gaps in a movie. i was just tryna make a funny post man.

I forget what age is what grade. A junior thirsting for a middle schooler is funny ngl. Her dad was just watching them make out too smh I would’ve been embarrassed my daughter gotta resort to dating middle schoolers

Yeah this was creepy. What stood out to me was the deliberate camera work, the almost desaturated look, and the villain who's an amnesiac but also kind of gets to figure out the victims that he gets in touch with? Idk, it was pretty intriguing. The sequence where Takube gets quick flashes to his wife and rushes home to see her hanging but she's actually not was so surreal, I haven't seen some s\*\*\* like that before. Wild.
Film is a slow burn and refuses to answer a majority of its questions, including the ending, but that's also part of what makes it unsettling. I'll be thinking about this one for a while, particularly the question it poses to the viewer (the question of self)
Those about to die, s*** was refreshing after the slog that was season 2 of house of dragons. Not too over the top but also not 100% grounded, pacing was gr8 alot of characters to actually root on. Good to see Ramsey again in a less unhinged role and more anti hero
3/5
❤️
Paris, Texas (1984)
Christ man, I didn't think this movie would be so thoroughly affecting
I went in completely blind, and was floored by how beautiful it was in its wide shots and also intimate in its storytelling. The kid actor (Hunter Carson) was very impressive but really, everyone brought their A game. The transformation of Dean Stanton from the opening scene to the last feels like a journey, a bittersweet tale of redemption.
And yeah, at 2 and half hours, the film requires you to move with its pace, but I'd rather watch this than f***ing What's The Dirt for an equal runtime.
4/5. One of my favorite first watches. I had to pause during a certain scene because I didn't wanna get choked up so I took a breather.

I’ve had this one on the list for so long I need to get on that
Small drama that might be boring to some but I fw these type of movies and it being about someone close to them in hospice resonated to me rn. Great performances by the 3 leads I really liked the 2nd act when we got to see them interact and try to exist around each other. But then they went and made a choice in the 3rd act I was not a big fan of.
