If you followed Proverbs as a main disciplinary source, you would hit your kids out of compassion

Like I've experienced physical discipline and physical abuse as a child. Growing up I've been able to make the clear distinction between the two. There are many times where I definitely deserved my ass getting beat. I frequently stole outta stores and would fight with other kids despite frequently being told to stop doing the s***. The beatings from that we're very deserved cause I was being a dumbass and harming others.

Then there are many times where I got beat just cause my dad was terrible, had his issues, and had no way of properly taking it out. He's an a****** for that and it's why I don't f*** with that nigga to this day.

I'm damaged by the latter. Not the former. If y'all cannot make the distinction between the two just say it and shut up

Absolutely nothing wrong with spanking a lil child to let them know what their doing is wrong. Children don’t have common sense or a sense of right or wrong yet so they need discipline. I’ve seen lil kids get cursed out by their parents and I think that’s worse than a spanking.
