I think one of the better ways to discipline a child nowadays is through a reward system where if he/she’s doing good. You give them things and when they start acting up and doing bad things,you take that stuff away. Talk to them about what their doing and actually teach them a lesson on what makes said thing wrong without scolding them and take that thing away for a moment until you see an improvement In their actions.

If done right,could be much more affective than a beating but children need some form of discipline to learn.
