  • you’ll get going don’t worry, no shame in practicing in a parking lot we all did it

  • Jan 12, 2021

I was 18 when I took my first test i had really only drove in a parking lot lmao i failed bad.

Second time was more or less the same thing but i had driven around the neighborhood and to the store a few times which was really close to my house.

I was so f***ing nervous because i wasn't confident in my skills at all. The instructor was a grumpy old lady and i was one of the last to go on a very long day. Afterwards I knew I failed but she said I passed with an 80. Such a huge relief that felt so good.

honestly after the test i felt more relaxed driving. Then on my first day of college I had to drive like an hour when i hadn't been anywhere more than 5 minutes away. A few hiccups but I made it work.

Honestly experience will be what gets you comfortable. I'd say experience and confidence and you'll be fine.
Just practice every day even if you cant go to the street try around neighborhoods and stuff.
    Good luck tho G

i passed within a year of being able to, but it took me 4 times to pass

got super depressed during that time and didn't even wanna finish it but my family forced me to (in a supportive way, and i'm glad they did) and it felt amazing once I finally passed

    keep it at man

  • Jan 12, 2021

So embarrassing and a huge setback. Having to tell a b**** you gotta lyft or constantly getting your friends to scoop you. I got tired of it and finally said let me learn

Fr. it’s not impossible or anything to get girls past age18 w/o (in the suburbs, obviously in the city no one drives) one but hving makes it wayyy easier

I didn’t learn until after 21. I was in a crash when I was a kid and it had me kinda paranoid to drive even years after. Even being in the car with someone speeding use to have me shook. It’s really not as bad as expected when you get some good practice in. Every now and then I have a moment when I see a car tweaking but it’s never to the level it was at before. We all got different paths and life experiences that push back some things. That’s why I never clown someone for being 21+ with no car or L’s.

100%. I think a lot of people need to follow that sentiment because it's helped me not feel like a loser when im slow at getting s***. It's best for people to just focus on their own s*** and not worry about how far someone else is

My s*** expired over covid and I sure as f*** wasn’t about to go stand elbow to elbow with dirty BMV people so I have to go through the entire testing process again

i thought you just do the written test again?

  • Jan 12, 2021

Nigga I was driving at 14 lmao but it gets easier fam, always remember to trust drivers but be cautious at the same time.
Don’t be too paranoid because that causes accidents

didn't get my license till 25

but I was on roads since 22

  • Jan 12, 2021

I was embarrassed my little brother got his license before I did

  • Jan 12, 2021

I got my license at 16, however I almost didn't get it cause I got into a car accident at 15 (not the one driving but I had a permit). I was so scared to drive but now I look back at it and laugh. I definitely would've never learned if I didn't convince myself to do it, cause I am usually a pretty anxious person.

    No License

  • Jan 13, 2021

    I didn’t get my license until I was 21 almost 22 lol

    Ain’t no shame in it

For me personally, I never needed to drive. If I needed a ride, other homies drove or my parents took me or my cousin picked me up. So it was just never needed

But I got my license when I got a job and it def feels good to get one. More freedom

only thing that could be embarrassing that u could've done but never did is swimming and learning to ride a bicycle

otherwise a car aint that big of a deal, you'll get around to it

  • Jan 13, 2021

I learned at 21, used to have mad anxiety driving. I got my permit at 15 and just never drove. We only had 1 car in the household anyway, and didn't need to drive when I went to college. It broke down my junior year. Learned when I returned home from college, my grandma gave me her car so I just relearned then and slowly got comfortable with it. Rode without a license for for years tho, got it at 23

  • Jan 13, 2021

just dont be scared and keep practicing

my dad was pretty bad at teaching. he tried teaching me how to reverse between cones and s*** during my first time driving. dude just kinda flipped cuz i didnt know what to do lol

after a few times tho you get the feel of the peddle and learn how to drive more comfortably. its all just getting the feel
