Feel like ppl hate recovery because it’s now thought off as a “pop rap em” album (I’ve seen a lot of ppl mention that on sites like Twitter and s***) but it’s honestly a good album

Relapse was dope. Recovery was OK. I like em both but relapse was better imo.

People talk about pre and post hiatus Em but real s*** Relapse was the last hurrah of classic Em. We got classic Em here and there afterwards but never consistently.

Aside from Rap God he wasn’t really doing the speed rapping thing too much on MMLP2. That didn’t really begin to rear it’s ugly head until Kamikaze.

Yeah I can see it. The production on MMLP2 is horrible and Em still being fairly top tier skill wise helped it out a lot.

Recovery is full of annoying skip-worthy songs with cringey hooks, boring beats and verses that don’t impress or entertain. For the most part, the most listenable songs are the popular ones

Relapse has an atmosphere, killer flows, dope hooks and sharp production. Also it’s generally just fun to listen to. It’s not close (and I wasn’t there for any of the reception stuff from the beginning nor do I keep up with discourse around Em so none of that “you’re a fake fan” s*** I’m seeing it either )
