There have been a lot of super low effort threads recently
Particularly involving just posting a tweet in order to create a level of engagement or to propagate a narrative without having to actually commit to a position yourself
How do people feel about these? Should we ban threads that just contain a tweet? Set a minimum word count for threads? Looking for input from the user base in how you guys want this stuff to be handled
honestly im convinced most of the users that outright make Twitter threads are a necessary evil, because most of this userbase doesn’t have the brain capacity to read anything on here that’s longer than 2-3 sentences half the time (aka effortposting)
let them cook unless it’s overtly gossip-y imho
Without Twitter embeds KTT would die within a week
You’re saying that like its bad thing
We need the Ye smileys back more @op
Limit new users thread making privileges, simple as that. But yes, ban Twitter threads please
Yup even reddit does this and it works wonders
last time I made a high effort thread it was moved to a private sxn within 30 minutes
Same (my Jimmy Eat World thread)
It just depends on the tweet tbh but yea a tweet accompanied by a certain amount of words would be a good start.
Casually scrolling thru your twitter feed and posting whatever peaks your interest shouldnt be threadworthy. At least make a small amount of enough in some form.
minimum word count + limit new user privileges
f*** a minimum word count all my threads in here are just youtube links
@ryder oh my god your new avy i am in love

A small description of the artist would be fire with the music you share tbh
Dude from so and so, he can rap/sing etc.
Nobody wants to discuss music anymore. Everyone just wants to meme and fight. That’s why Twitter threads are so popular. Don’t think you could really do anything specific to change that. It’s been that way everywhere since COVID
One change could be saying why a thread was locked and why someone is muted/banned.
If we just had a mega thread or threads where people can participate in perpetual arguing over exhausted topics then it would clean up a lot of the bs imo similar to the sales thread
