I must admit my KTT2 experience has improved since they implemented a sales thread and that bullshit isn't in the feed anymore.

The threads of some random Twitter user's opinion with 2 likes pretending it's some consensus take are extremely annoying

Consolidating those type of threads would give threads of actual discussion more chance to be seen. How many times have we seen the same 4 threads about loosely similar topics continue to maintain the most visible spots in the music sxn?

Glad mods @op finally addressing this. Also alot of the good threads die on the first page bc everyones just trying to get as many likes as they can with a hit post. It ends up derailling a good discussion.

Yeah this is really the only kind of "Twitter thread" I have an issue with
Posting Tweets to convey news about an artist, actual popular discourse that is occurring, etc. is fine. Social media is interconnected these days and it's unreasonable for people on KTT2 not to talk about things happening on other websites.

There’s definitely awareness of that issue but fixing it is easier said than done

I don’t have control over this and I am also not trying to have to argue about every single modding decision that gets made either when this is voluntary

it’s where someone posts an opinion of someone else’s that’s just a tweet and offers no opinion of their own just to try stir engagement/controversy

I really think the people taking issue with it could focus on posting high quality threads. Can really only fight fire with fire imo.

A lot of people love those threads, including me. A standalone Gossip SXN would be a good solution. I also think it would drive a lot of extra traffic to the site because if you search "ktt2.com" on twitter or reddit, 99% of the time it's someone linking a gossip thread like mgk pedo allegations or tyler being a groomer

Why not have a specific day where that s*** is fine, or like the weekend folks can get their s*** off or something

It’s a difficult line to find

Generally I’m willing to change egregious titles tho if I get tagged in a thread and asked to do so
