Idk what you mean with lyrical ability but your lyrics need to be entertaining thats the bottom line

The best "Lyrical myracle'' artists yall hate on like Nas and Mos def have the most entertaining wordplay and lyrics. you kinda just have to listen and get off your phone and pay a lil attention.

Your title literally says lyrical ability doesn’t matter. There may be a worthy discussion to be had but you’re never getting that when your start with titles like that.

Oh well Cry me a river I said what I said,

    LYRICAL MIRACLE S*** DOESNT MATTER

If its presented in an entertaining way i will catch all wordplay. Very rarely do i listen to a song for clever wordplay. Just look at kanye west family business. Incredibly written song. 0 wordplay. Wordplay type songs stopped entertaining me after a few years but if there’s a clever lyric i appreciate it.

Being lyrical isn't the same as technical writing traits like wordplay and layered rhyme schemes. By using those two ideas interchangeably, you're doing more harm to your cause than good.

the way i think of wordplay is not about clever puns or shyt.

its the way they use the words and 'play' with them to their own design. rap is poetry. you have to appreciate poetry to really dig at what im saying.

Yea but you need good lyrics to entertain. Lucid dreams wouldn’t work if he rapped about his homework.

Bro went to dictionary to find this definition and it still supports my argument. The message does exactly that, the song is literally called the message

Did it peak or is that what you were told because it mattered in that era

    Quality
    Cultural Impact
Sales (which only matter to dweebs who have no taste of their own but I know that’s important to y’all)
    Long lasting stylistic influence

Everything important in rap comes from something that began in the 90’s or 2000’s yes even all of Wayne’s offsprings that kinda suck after Thug

I disagree i think rap is a form of music and the poetry type rap is more of a category of rap
