CurlyZGotta be the most talented musician of the past 100 years if we were strictly talking about musical ability and quality of content.
Bro dropped his first album at 19 and played all 27 instruments himself. Who doing that? The hits, critical reception, and longevity was nuts. Mans is considered be among the greatest live performers of all time. Legend of the game.

No worries. Ballad of Dorothy Parker is pretty much a proto-Frank song. Especially lyrically. You can see where he got the cues from. The Dream too.

I know most people think D'Angelo but Maxwell's "Now" album might be my fave of the Prince kids projects. It's like the lost Prince classic in between Sign o the Times and Gold Experience.

zxrunnertbh, musically speaking i don't think it's even close. Prince is a literal God in the studio. A one man band in every sense of the word. Not knocking MJ but we all know he had a strong team behind him. Prince was the team.
michael didnt play instruments but he was an a1 composer, he used to make demos where hed do every part of the song with his voice. theyre really cool to listen to! prince n mj are once in a millennium type people for me

Just talking straight musical output, what is Michael Jackson better at than Prince? Only thing I'd say MJ is better at is vocally and making smash hits. Other than that, it's a sweep. When people argue MJ vs Prince they always bring up how gigantic of a star MJ was, or how much he sold, and his stage presence etc. etc. Like that matters at all when debating who's the better ARTIST.
