started reading and caught up on Real over the past few days, and now its prolly my favorite Inoue manga. hoping he finds the motivation to finish it off proper.

i only started exploring Inoue's catalog this year with Vagabond thinking itd be my favorite, but this mans basketball manga are just too good, and im not even into bball like that irl

what are you considering mainstream? what about Fire Punch? you like manwha? what about God of Highschool or Tower of God?

I consider that category anything that’s always used as first recommendations. Vagabond/ berserk /gantz /OPM etc. I’ve read a lot of manga so it would make sense that I would have already read those before but I understand some might not have.

I read fire punch too , that s*** was f***ed up and tower of god doesn’t have good art? Unless you mean season 2. I honestly have to reread season two grown up bamm cause I forgot too much.

I heard breakers had good art but it’s hard for me to get into manwhas cause a lot of the art is meh and the names...good lord those names

Tower of God does have amazing art pretty much from the end of s1 onward, but yeah it just keeps getting better as it goes on so i highly recommend. what about God of Highschool? great art, classic vibes with the plot. the name is just the title of the tournament the first couple seasons are about lol nothing too deep

When I started reading Real I was sceptical at first but now I see it as his greatest work too.
The way he makes the characters feel alive is insane, they feel like real people.
The art is elite too ofcourse.
The releaseschedule is making me suffer but it's understandable.

Lesser known manga with dope art and story:
Witch Hat Atelier. (Incredible art, reminds me a bit of Miuras style)
Spirit Circle. (Great story and pretty short)
Nejimaki Kagyu. (Very unique art, story is w/e)
Shadows House. (Great art and story, is in full color)
Bibliomania. (Very short with insane art)
Helck. (Starts out as a gag manga but then s*** gets real)
All You Need is Kill (this one actually well known)
