My relationship of 5 years was with a 40 yr old, and even though we had different tastes they were very open minded and even put me on to older band/artists. We shared music constantly and DJ’d every night during drinks/dinner time. It was great having that contrast in tastes. I really took those times for granted.

Next time when you guys are together try letting her DJ and show interest to what she is playing and hopefully that’ll open the door for her to be more comfortable with your music.
