I think its fair grounds to break up tbh especially if music is very important to you and you need it to bond with somebody on a deep level. Also if she listens to hyper feminist music, she might be a radical feminist and that can always be super frustrating to deal with personality wise.

People put way too much emphasis on trivial matters like taste in pop culture/mass media for “compatibility” and not things that actually matter, like personality, worldview, goals, values, etc (and even those don’t have to - and in fact shouldn’t - be the same, but rather complementary)

  • I got a traumatic experience that involved Schoolboy Q and females, so I feel u op

Bruh you're a man. You gotta dedicate music that the lady likes when y'all spend time together. Sometimes you can listen to your music but you gotta make time for your music, her music, and yall music. That's one of those small things that some brothers win off of and some brothers lose off of

    Thoughts on Andrew Tate?

i dont think the idea of wanting the traditional relationship is inherently a bad thing if both partners are transparent about it but Tate trying to say all men and women should aspire to that and anyone who doesn't do that is a p**** or wrong is close minded

also he's a sex/human trafficker so yeah, not good

  • Don’t try to force it. You can love different things.

Breaking up with someone off music taste is ridiculous, especially when music taste is ever changing. I understand taste intertwines with personality but if the personality good ain’t no issue

music taste changes during your teenage years. Sure, I have expanded my music taste as I've gotten older from my early 20s but my mentality was always based on discovering new music. If anything, I discover less music now than I used to simply because I have more life responsibilities. So I disagree on the idea that music taste changes especially past a certain point.

And I'm not saying he should break up with her, just saying having wildly different music taste can sometimes signify different mentalities that don't truly reflect into the relationship until later down the road.

This isn't about someone who thinks one of your favorite artists sucks or whatever. This is someone who is visibly uncomfortable at the fact this man listens to whole genres or sub genres. It wouldn't surprise me if she starts thinking of OP as a misogynist if he doesn't agree with all her feminist ideals.
