Had to re learn the game again but I’m having a lot of fun with the expansion so far
Long Sword is still good with the nerfs.
if you can’t support the people who make the things you enjoy, idk how you expect people to keep making things you enjoy. you must just be an entitled loser i guess
I agree for the most part, for new games.
S***ty developers/publishers, older than 2 gens games (which would PS3 & back atm), hard to get/find games (rare titles or overpriced resellers), really intrusive DRM and/or delisted games I have exceptions for on Emulators & piracy.
If youre in a really bad spot money wise too i understand that as well, even tho its technically not right, but I get it. I dint think its top bad as long as ur not downloading like a dozen games every week
But yeah its depends with me, although I mostly agree in most cases.
Worth it?? Dual blades still trash??
Its one of the most well received MHs n it apparently improved Rise by so much with monster variety, QOL updates, 100 new pieces of armor, multiple new maps, new weapon skills, many monsters including Frontier's Espinas, way better endgame, dope worthwhile subspecies like World n GU & new frenzy-like class of monsters. Plus the story n hub is probably the best its been.
Idk about dual blades i dont use them but try the expansion demo with the dbs I guess. All weapons have had some kind of upgrade n tweaking.
Its also doing some new things such as AI hunter help & the kingdom setting.
From what im reading n watching, if you enjoyed Rise a decent amount or more & would like to continue playing, then there is no reason to not get the expansion if you can afford it.
Its only additional positives, content, quality of life things & improvements.
Im still in disbelief that Spinas is in this game
Cant wait to fight him
Its gon be dope for u to compare the Rise n Frontier counterparts
Idk what weapon to use I haven't decided yet. I'm trying to pick between Twin Blades, Gunlance, Switch Axe, or that charge sword? The one thats like sword & shield but combines

Switch axe fire p versatile . Dual blades dope too if you’re all about speed but they kinda suck this game or at least they did before sun break not sure now. I use to main them now i main switch axe. Try them out do like a quest or two and if you not feeling it switch to something else until you find something you like.

Gunlance Gang for life. But it's not everyone's cup of tea
I wanna play badly but there's so many other games I gotta get through first
I already know I'm gonna be rusty af coming back too

You can try them all out.
You get the basic weapon for each one, see how they are in the training room or a few basic quests n go from there.
Or just pick what looks cooler to you n stick with it.
Everything is viable, i use Switch Axe (main), Hammer, Long Sword & Bow.
Gen U probably the hardest overall.
Freedoms are hard mostly due to clunkiness, but GenU mons are crazy as hell while having all the quality updates n more complex gameplay to that point.
Gen U > Monster Hunter Freedom(s) > Monster Hunter World
Thats the 3 hardest imo
While 3 n 3U is middle
Rise the easiest
I have not played any of MH1 or MH4 tho
Started with PSP Tigrexs one then Nargacuga, og MH3 on wii, skipped 3DS era after the demos were ass to me due to the 3DS hardware n size, then MH3 Ultimate on Wii U, PS4 MHW+I, Switch Rise then MHGU Switch.
MHW+I > GenU > 3U are my favs so far.
Bro Aknaktor in GenU MR is crazier than most Elders in the series s***s wild everything is on steroids in that game, especially once u hit MR

I don’t think I ever played ultimate. I played generations though I thought that was the easiest one but this ones right next to it there like on par. To me it’s because it’s more streamlined probably in 4 and 4 ultimate you have to input everything and now you can just like press R1 to wall run. They did lil s*** like that in generations too from what I can remember.
Yesterday i defeated the final boss and imma say that this expansion is honestly great
It feels so polished, and even tho there is "only" like 17 new monsters, between normal quests, follower quests and the new form of monsters that opens up after the final boss, there is a lot of good content to do. Also one underrated thing is that they made every weapon feel really good and fun to use, so that just makes the game feel even better
