Word of advice to anyone running the FB ad strategy:
Make sure you are using a link service like ToneDen or Hypeddit. Direct links usually lead to more bot clicks instead of real ones.
If you are trying to get streams, use a conversion campaign. They are a bit more complicated to set up, but result in better quality streamers and data.
DO NOT touch your ads once they go live for at least three days. In the beginning of your ad campaign, each ad set goes through a "learning phase" where their algorithm learns what kind of users are most likely to click on your music links. Any changes you make in that first time period will reset the learning phase, which can result in less conversions overall.
Your visuals for your ad don't have to be super in-depth in order for you to get good conversions. My best performing ad to date is just the single cover for "I'm In It" with some subtle smoke movement in the background. I had a music video for two other singles, and I used those in my ads, but conversion costs on those ended up being higher. However, I did get really good IG engagement on those and some follower growth.
Run a growth campaign for around $5 - $10 a day when you aren't promoting a release. Keeps streams and follows really consistent. Just copy the ad sets from your best performing campaigns and use those for it. Direct traffic straight to your Spotify page and there's a good chance you'll see an increase in followers. I haven't tried it for my other platforms yet, but this approach is legit for Spotify.
Yo we might need a TikTok thread or somethin
Maybe someone can drop some knowledge about it ITT
Just started one I'm still figuring this s*** out
bruh for real how tf u get going starting from 0 followers on here?

As long as your posting content consistently, followers should come in pretty naturally. One of their platforms greatest features is how good the algorithm is at suggesting your content to people who are most likely to engage w/ it.
I'm still not there yet w/ it tbh, but here's the advice I generally here for growing on there as an artist:
Post as consistently as you can
Try to create content that can provide value. Self promo stuff like your music, videos, etc is often harder for a complete stranger to connect with. But as you grow your audience more and more, it'll be easier for it to have reach.
Hop on trends. These are a sure fire way for people to engage w/ you. Just scroll thru your explore page for a couple days and you'll get a sense of what they are. Apply those trends to your brand/art/content in a relatable way.
MAKE SURE YOU ARE ADDING YOUR LYRICS TO GENIUS!
That's the #1 spot for you to add them, and with the annotation feature it gives your fans the opportunity to learn more about you and your song's story. I'm sure it also improves the SEO for your song and your brand. The more places you are and the more searchable you are, the better.

SubmitHub pro tip:
When you use their "Hot or Not" feature and someone tunes into a song, it won't count as a stream on Spotify. However, if you use SoundCloud as your primary streaming source, it will! Good method to get some free streams using their platform.

It's a very solid strategy from him and one that my current ad campaigns definitely take inspiration from. With my last couple of song releases, I've been running release campaigns with the goal of triggering Spotify's algorithm and getting in to Release Radar. I've had one song where I've been able to do it successfully so far, although it's only been one spike so far. My ads were too NSFW so Facebook sniped my s*** while it was peaking and I've had hit or miss performance with it since even after creating some new visuals that are more inline with their policies
For that song's initial campaign, here's how I broke it down:
This is a screenshot of the ads from the best performing ad set, which I called "Targeted Interests". It targeted a cold audience with targeting that I thought would best be suited for the sound and style of the song. On the ad set level I structured it with one main visual element, and four different snippets of the song.
Here are the targeting options I picked: the song has UK dance vibe mixed with hip-hop, so I decided to go broad with the targeting to include things that are culturally and musically in-line. (Also included "AJ Tracey" "Hip Hop music", "The Weeknd", "Stormzy", and of course "Spotify"). I also set "Detailed Targeting Expansion" to "on". As far as locations, I selected every market that Spotify is available in except for India bc I heard from him and Tom DuPree III that a lot of bot traffic can come from that region. Here's the list in-case you need it: support.spotify.com/us/article/where-spotify-is-available
I based most of this off this video but a lot of what you've learned from Andrew is applicable:
This thread is gold never delete it
if this thread ever gets sniped it definitely won't be me!
Just submitted my song to two TikTokers via SubmitHub
When I get some results back I'll let you know how it goes!
Still on the hunt for whatever is the best method for that platform
IG Reels ain't too bad either make sure u take advantage of that too

Yea it happens
Are you using a landing page service as well? Those usually help out too, my go to is ToneDen but Hypeddit also works very well.

yea iβm using a feature.fm page, i might change it but i havenβt had issues so far
those videos i sent earlier the dude is using Hypeddit or some s***, i liked toneden the most i think but it was a subscription monthly & feature.fm was free for the majority of the same features
i use a link tree as well, trying to build my audience across all social media platforms. everytime i post on tik tok i gain a few followers but i need that one to pop off lmao
Anyone ITT have experience with music licensing or sync licensing? For the uninitiated, basically music licensing is an avenue you can take to get your music in tv shows, movies, ads, etc and get paid. Been doing a ton of research lately and signing up for a lot of different services, sending out songs, etc. Here's a list of sites and services you can look into:
So far Taxi.com seems to be the easiest to use with their sign up process and accessibility to opportunities, but that s*** costs $300 a year for a membership so I can't dig too deep quite yet, got some other life s*** to handle.
go look at wendy days channel on YouTube
Good looks. I'll check em out
Anyone market using "sport influencers"?
