Am at the point of the album release cycle where I'm on the constant posting/promotion grind and MAN am I burnt out.

Us independents wear so many hats, and it can feel so thankless sometimes. Am getting pretty tired of making quality stuff and being chewed out by algorithms.

There are more sites like it, that’s just the most user friendly and simplified one I’ve found. Others like soundplate have less variety and you’ve gotta submit one at a time and fill out forms and s*** Everytime. If you find any good ones let me know

I’d say to look for some alt pop playlists or alt RNB playlists

I don’t use submithub much cause I’ve never had much success there. The few times we got features from it they didn’t translate to much of anything. I paid $20 once to get a song featured on a site called DopeCauseWeSaid - the feature itself didn’t get much attention (as far as plays), but it did lead to other sites hitting us up and featuring our songs on channels (for free) where it did generate a lot of attention.

What you may wanna try - Google artists that are bigger than you (not super famous ones) but you feel sound similar to you. Find what blogs/playlists/channels are posting their work, and try to get in touch with them directly

Dropping an album in August, my goal is 10k monthly listeners for the release. Odds of that happening? Low, but I’m trynna speak it into existence
