    bro I have issues with my mom too, just try to remember that our parents are human like the rest of us and love us in their own way, no matter how much they piss us off or get on our nerves, I know it's hard but once you're done with a tense situation just take some deep breaths when you're by yourself and try to get back to a more relaxed state

    i gave my whole family calls after a particularly moving/healing psychedelic experience of mine and I just told them how grateful i was for em and I how much I love em

    the next day they all rollin up to my house askin me if i'm okay or if I need help

    mfs thought I was suicidal!

    Unless they straight up being violent or sexually abusing/abused you

    Doing anything other than being compassionate and empathetic to why/how your parents ended up the way they are is only gonna cause more anger and confusion that you really won’t be able to get rid of in a healthy way

    See nah that’s crazy. I’d imagine this happen to a lot of people if they did it since we don’t really tell people outright how much they mean to us. But imma be the change I wanna see. Gonna start telling them so they can associate it with love and not suicide or me going through a hard time.

    When my mom does this I just pay it no mind and let it go out the other ear knowing that

    When ever it’s like that (for example yesterday) I dont interact/entertain/react with that type of talk whenever it arises i just simply ignore it/pretend to not let her go on and go about my day at some point she will realise that u aren’t listening subconsciously and will do it less/stop

    And if you do have to react interact with that type of talk do so in a nonchalant but caring manner

    There she can say all she wants and vent out her concerns but not let it get to my ego knowing shes coming from a good place
