As an atheist.
Idc what you believe in. just dont force your religious opinions on me and dont try to convert me.
Religious ppl are obnixious af.
Oh u dont believe in god?
Well ur prob gonna go to hell
Oh u dont believe in god?
Well dont worry we will pray for you
Oh u dont believe in god?
How could you not? Have you read the bible??
Oh you don't believe in.....SHUT THE F*** UP
Religion and Politics are so f***in toxic
Shut the f*** up
No one cares
Imagine being an atheist when KanYe bout to drop Gods Country aka AOTY
I love jik
And Gods Country boutta be a classic
I respect all views but almost every atheist i've known comes across as a know it all and condescending person that thinks they're smarter/better than someone because they don't believe in a god
U prolly met a lot of atheists and never knew just cuz they don't make their whole personality about how they hate religion lmao.
You could have swapped the word atheists with Christians and put “because they believe in god” and this sentence would work perfect still .
I think the Atheist that do these kinda things are probably just reflecting what they had to endure . It’s wrong either way but it makes sense
Oh for sure
U prolly met a lot of atheists and never knew just cuz they don't make their whole personality about how they hate religion lmao.
Definitely, I have no ill will towards what anyone believes in, just speaking from personal experiences
as a Muslim I respect all religions and viewpoints I can’t stand atheists who think religious people are stupid for believing in whatever it is that they believe. I feel that it’s irrational to not believe in something that from there viewpoint can’t be proven so why completely write it off? And when saying this I’m not talking about people who simply don’t believe I’m talking about people so confident in their disbelief
Dont believe anyone is stupid for believing in anything, but i do think there’s an important distinction to be made here.
I think you can easily argue that atheism is as illogical / logical as believing in the general concept of divine creation, so in that sense i agree with you.
But i don’t think atheism is necessarily on the same footing as believing in a specific religion, which i think can be more open to criticism than atheism itself.
For example Someone could point out inconsistencies/contradictions in holy texts, the problems that occur when a religion paints a god as having human qualities, or the hypocrisy of believers who pick and choose which aspects of their religion they actively follow.
Christians are easily more annoying and in your face with their beliefs. Nobody else would tell you your straight up a bad person and deserve punishment if they disagree with you
most atheists don't care about this stuff
Exactly. Most don't even talk about it but almost every christian will have something to say if you don't believe in god
I think atheists just mad that religious people use their beliefs to try and control people and that historically it's been used to justify the slaughter and control of millions of people.
Like abortion wasn't a religious issue til republicans decided they should make it one. Only s*** in the Bible about it is how to perform one. Now that's just an example of course, I don't know enough about your doctrine to speak on it specifically. But religion been co-opted by ruthless elites who use it to control policy and influence the masses.
I ain't saying if you believe in religion you're stupid or you're a sheep, but I'm saying there's a possibility because largely that's what it's used for these days. Give the people a little comfort in the afterlife but also get them to do what you want.
You are mixing and matching of behavioural patterns of different beliefs and categorising it all the same.
And your example of abortion is a bad one.

Okay?
i just dont believe cuz it doesnt make sense to me at all
quantum physics doesnt make sense to me at all but i believe in it
I respect all views but almost every atheist i've known comes across as a know it all and condescending person that thinks they're smarter/better than someone because they don't believe in a god
I think this is true for people who go out of their way to say they're an athiest like it's an identity
Saying slavery is a choice and simultaneously riding for the religion the slave masters banged into your head kinda cringeworthy ngl
because slave masters invented religion lol
On the flip side. I used to be a very devout Christian and I wonder if having no form of spirituality is hurting my mental health.
probably
I don't believe in God but I have a lot of admiration for religious texts and how it can give people meaning to their lives. The fact it can be exploited by powerful people is awful but that's not just true of religion

Okay?
''abortion wasn't a religious issue til republicans decided they should make it one''
Nah, instead it was an issue that was promoted and popularised by a Nazi and KKK sympathiser in Sanger, who is associated with the “Population Congress” within the US government who sought “to raise the level and increase the general intelligence of our population” through the forced sterilization & segregation of those whom she considered detrimental “to the stamina of the race”. This would include the “feeble-minded, idiots, morons, insane, syphiletic, epileptic, criminal, professional prostitutes, and others in the class …”.
