They’re gonna have to go pretty loose with the adaptation concept. These type shows work best when the powers are more grounded. There’s no way like Hashirama against Madara + Kurama looks good, but Haku’s mirrors against Naruto and Sasuke? Maybe that does!

I think Japanese mangakas and studios elect to go with whiter characters for western palatability. I guess they (probably correctly) assume the Asian audiences are going to see themselves in the characters regardless of skin color, and them being white just works better for like Americans and s***
