Like this the umpteenth rapper/black celebrity I've heard say this in the last few months. Him, Aries Spears, Joe Budden, and i'm sure it's more other old niggas I'm forgetting.

i mean the hip-hop media only cares about what’s marketable, so do labels as well
labels don’t really take a chance on new talent unless they go relatively viral nowadays, they don’t take much chances otherwise

NujaRap is in a very stale place and this is factoring in underground rap too. Mainstream rap is the same stagnant s*** it has been for years, a lot of these underground rappers sound like clones too. Like he said, you listen to it, it’s cool. Then it’s like okay and you have no interest in it anymore
