netflix out of business soon
They had the market to themselves for so long
Friday night going and getting a pizza and a movie and chilling with the fam
Them not having the game OR the movie you wanted to get though <<
I feel like movies aren't even as popular as like live streaming and YouTube/Tik Tok now. TV is still popular but the networks who make TV- have networks to distribute them. Movies were always a secondhand market with rentals and they just made that digital which everyone in turn can copy and attach to their original programming. Netflix was first but it didn't really have an patentable quality or producer edge or even a tech base. Apple and Amazon sell tech with their services loaded on it already. S*** seems inevitable. Now they're just catching up to Hulu
Tiktok/youtube are definitely part of it.. a lot of people simply no longer have interest/attention span to sit down and watch something for 2+ hours. But also Netflix has never had as much competition as today between hulu, hbomax, primevideo, apple, showtime, disney+, peacock, paramount etc

Showing kids who watch iPads all day a movie now is like making them read a book. It's terrible

I have 3 nieces who are like that, but the oldest (10) has started getting into live action older (2000s-10s) movies and TV shows, so it'll definitely be interesting to see how these kids turn out
