The visuals are fire lol
The writing in the sense of pacing is whack
I agree the pacing is a little off.
What’s funny is that this season is only 30 minutes shorter than the first season of ATLA
Obviously it was never gonna be 1:1 but the pacing is so much better in the original show and it’s not like they were super strapped for time in this one.
I haven’t watched yet because I haven’t seen a single shot that doesn’t look like it was filmed in front of a green screen.
Am I bugging or is this show entirely green screen sets?
It’s supposed to look like that
Fantastical, not realistic
Like “300”

Avatar could very well be my favorite show of all time, but if there’s one thing I’ve had to come to grips with as the show gets more popular, it’s that it has to have one of the worst fan bases of all time.
The scenes with Katarra and Jet are really good examples of the laughably bad pacing
She goes from being scared of him, to liking/admiring him, and then resenting him within the span of like 10 mins
I can’t believe this actually has mixed reviews. This was really well done with a lot of heart. I teared up pretty much every episode.
A live action series wasn’t needed. But it is a great companion piece for the animated series.
I agree, I’m glad I didn’t listen to the reviews and watched it to form my own opinion
Watching the first episode
Idk what ppl complaining about, I mean what else do y’all want from this?

Give it a few episodes..
Show is good. People need to stop comparing it to the OG.
It’s not great tho either. Personally giving it a 7/10
I'm halfway through this and it's alright. No where near as bad as some reviews are making it out to be.
It's definitely rushed but im enjoying it for the most part and everyone is well cast. Although some of the acting is shaky in parts from Team Avatar. But the main leads are kids so i wont be too hard on them and they can grow into their roles if the show continues.
The Fire nation are the best part of the show for me especially Dallas and Paul and their chemistry.
Like someone said itt this is a nice companion piece to the og show like Netflix One Piece and that teen drama version of Fresh Prince of Bel Air on peacock
It's hard remaking or remaining a beloved classic and it's gotta be a huge weight on the showrunners, cast, crew, etc
Nah this was as good as it couldve gotten. Pretty good, easily better than the movie
Zhao has been so much more unlikeable than in the animated series. Ken Leung did great.
Show has been good imo. I just couldn’t get over how Aang is portrayed (still don’t like it) but everyone else has been cool to really good. Theres a scene in episode 4 that I really liked with Zuko/Iroh.
Considering how trigger happy Netflix is with cancelling shows... I'm wondering if this show will survive since it seems to be underperforming...
lol this so funny

This s*** could've been complete trash and it would still be better than the movie.

underperforming?
underperforming?
https://twitter.com/flixpatrol/status/1761757360547057841I said underperforming because Netflix was going on about how they expected this to do Game of Thrones numbers. I think we can all agree that isn't happening so I feel like there's a chance Netflix pulls the plug
Some of the story changes and things removed don’t make a lot of sense but I don’t think it’s as bad as it’s being made out to be
