Good thread idea
Bought a house in January and been slowly filling it out since. Need to redo a lot of the upstairs so havent done much there but have done a lot in the kitchen/dining/living areas. Been trying to go for a clean sort of modern style but with hits of colour to ensure there's still a degree of warmth. Has been okay so far but I find it tough to visualise whole rooms in the abstract sometimes

Congrats on the house man even tho im 9 months late. Im thinking of doing a modern architecture spotlight, but its such a huge part of architecture itll take some time. Hopefully i can find some inspo for you!
Very interesting house. I love the “in the mountains” feel, just picking olive. But the house is so vulnerable; I dont like too much glass and the slits in the house make it worse for me lol
Just to continue the house in the mountains aesthetic, I chanced upon this vid that I think does what the first one was trying to do
Pretty good mix of existing old architecture with some modern elements. Concrete walls are iffy for me cuz ill switch on whether I like em or not but i think this guy does it rather well
I wanna focus attention on this backdrop tho cuz its hard af. Not necessarily for what it is but for what it tried to do atleast for me. The dull, older tapestry and the bright, geometric frames play really well together

Thanks my guy, appreciate it 🙏 not the best year for it as it turned out lmao but just gotta keep chipping away at it
Looking forward to some inspo in here

I would say Citizens of No place; it‘s a quite crazy book which is easy to read and well illustrated; for architects I would recommend you John Lautner - he was a visionary architect who have never made a design twice; was very ahead of his time and is still influential in architecture schools to this day
