Yeah, and that’s defeating what made streaming so special at its’ onset in my opinion
We’re right back to the radio days, they’re just called playlists now
this is actually a very great way to put it it's literally essentially the same exact s***
I’m sure you were the first person ever to think of every single thought you’ve ever had

no way yall talk about music for as long as you do and have never heard this extremely obvious and tired discussion

when im talking about music, its literally like about the actual music
like the actual content of the music itself
not everything external from it, idk if you've ever did anything like that but yeah

I’ve been using this since op put me on and it’s actually cool
mfs supporting this is the reason music has declined so much and we’re in the fast food era
music industry was much more of a meritocracy before this nonsense

more than half of the music in this playlist is songs I haven't heard before from small artists. They also recommend genres I don't usually listen to. don't understand where this energy comes from because its incredibly misguided, if anything stuff like this introduces casual listeners to much much more music that otherwise wouldn't hear. 15 years ago casual listeners only heard what's played on the radio
This what them white reddit/rym nerds sound like when they try and categorize everything in its own lil genre
I get a healthy variety and it's hard to believe the payola accusations with most of these artists. They def gotta chill with trying to know you too much
a lot of pearl clutching in this thread for what lmao
how many people these days are gonna sit and actually look for music without the help of algorithms? what’s the alternative for them? radio? mtv?
They sound so insecure and dramatic lmao
Didnt know "good rap" was a genre.. sounds racist
you talking about something sounding racist
damn my playlist had fred again on it and a bunch of other people i've never heard of before guess i'm a victim of payola cash infused soulless music spotify playlisting corporate oligarch meritocracy animal husbandry rush for horse archers as mongolia
I’ve been singing soul songs in my head all day and I open that link up and it says I usually listen to soul on sundays
Spotify listeners are like cattle just listen to whatever is fed to them.
Its a nice way to discover artists. Ktt always hating until people blow up
You're right tbh
This promotes keeping you in your comfort zone and never finding stuff outside of your usual scope
Thats how most people always listen to music lol its only "music nerds" that are the oultlier
Playlists are the new radio & the way most people listen to music on Streaming services
